  • It's the callouses on my hands from many years work. when scrolling, one finger suddenly stops registering. Same when pinching etc to zoom. Loads of intuitive functions don't quite flow and it's riving me nuts. A freind used it and had no problems.

I have never had this problem with macs, and I'll be going back to a mac despite the annoying compatibility issues.

  • Yeah, but having callouses I don’t think means you need to put up with a crap UX. Other trackpads (Mac) obviously work, so I’d be raising that as an issue with the hardware/software as much as with your hands. I think I’d be attempting to get them to fix it or refund, assuming you have the patience for the initial 1st line ‘have you reinstalled the drivers’ stuff

  • Yeah, so I wasted the 30 day returns period searching every dell and microsoft forum on earth for ways to fix the problem. everything reinstalled etc etc. If I wasn't working 50-60 hours / week I'd be doing what you suggest.
