Bike has been owned since new and has never been dropped or crashed
Small chip on fork and top tube from a car rack (see pictures)
Return spring in the left shift paddle has gone so it just dangles. Still shifts fine. According to the internet this can be replaced for a few dollars and with a bit a know-how.
One of the hoods is torn (see pictures)
I think that a bearing in the rear wheel could do with replacing, it makes a noise.
The steerer is still very long, so there is room to adjust the stack as needed
Overall a light and high-end bike from just before the current era of discs, batteries and big tyres. It is rideable as-is, but ideally needs a service and a bit more time than I can give it!
This has more road-like geometry than the Outback v2, which is more of a touring frame. The closest equivalent to this you can buy today is the Swiss Cross Disc.
Carbon fork, triple-butted steel frame
Designed for 700cx40 tyres, although I was able to run 650bx47 and 700cx42 slicks
Takes a BSA threaded bottom bracket
Post-mount (can use Hope RX4, Yokozuna, Paul Klampers, Shimano MTB, ...)
No dents and always torqued correctly. Never crashed.
A few chips in the paint. The worst is around the BB from a dropped chain. I applied some clear nail varnish to protect it. See pictures.
Original thru-axles and headset included. I swapped the headset bearing fairly recently.
Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot

For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:
```
Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
