Looks like he's there. I'd buy you a beer Frank, but it seems that I didn't make it to Burgas this year. :)

Thanks everyone.
I made it in about 10:45 last night.
I did get the black Jersey as no-one else was in range.
Feel pretty good, it mostly went well. Hell of an experience, etc.
I'll try and write a bit about this as my head is full of stuff that needs to come out. -

Hey Frank, congrats!
I was with Scherrit for most of the evening but I had to go on a hunt for some food so missed you coming in. Hope you're doing good and yeah would be great to hear some of your thoughts.

Oh no.... Oscar you mad lad :-(

• #1193
Has he got GPS issues?
-

Looks like route planning error. Turned too early, double backed, then missed the turn. Parked up in Burgas now.
GC closes later today right so maybe he feels he hasn't got time, or just hasn't got the energy or inclination to redo it. After 4600km, can't say I blame him.

It's parcours though - the whole point about that is you don't have to plan it :S
If it was route planning issue he has missed the whole finish parcour, twice? That's pretty impressive, even by my navigation standards :)

I think his head was gone. He had bad puncture issues yesterday. I passed him at the side of a main road where he said he'd been stuck for 4 hours.
I saw him roll into the finish. He said he had had more puncture issues through night.
Had been going OK until then. -

Looks like there will be maybe 102 finishers when it closes down tonight, out of 278 or so starters.
I think that is comfortably the lowest rate of any tcr, and not surprising based on how hard the course was this year.
my hunch is they made it harder when strasser entered as they didn't want him finishing in 6-7 days. -

Well done Frank.
Even if it was tougher than ever you did it! -

Hmm, not sure it's quite that simple.
I was the first rider home after the finish party in TCRno5. Just looking at the results i think there were 72 riders at the finishing party that year. Yesterday there were 92 at the finishers party.
Then the finish line closed a few days after the party, whereas this edition it closes ~24 hours, that probably has a much higher bearing on %age of finishers.
2 and half hours to go before midnight, it's going to be tight for Juris, 60km to go and heavy legs.
congrats @frank9755 - great ride!
