"I need a fork with dynamo mount on the front."
A what now?
-
• #7
Literally has a bolt on the front where I can mount my dynamo, instead of having to do the bodge into the mudguard bolt at the back.
New fork also lets me feed all the dynamo wiring through it internally, as I'm a wiring neat freak.

Mount for the dynamo light? What fork is it?
-
• #9
It's the new version of this Mason fork (Aperture 2.0) - it's the one that's on all the Bokehs etc

The Aperture 2.0 is what I have. Parallax must be what you're talking about.
"The carbon monocoque 'Parallax' fork has been developed in conjunction with our Italian frame builders, it uses a Ø12mm thru-axle, flat-mount and internally routed hose and weighs just 465g. As with the frames, there is a full compliment of discreetly sited fender eyelets and an extra one at the front for a Dynamo light."
Which bike are you putting this on?
700C x 45mm on the Resolution... hmm. Can still only go 35mm on the back so never gonna be a gravel bike where I ride.

Ah yeah, this is it.
I'm putting it on my Mason Definition. Yeah I'm unlikely to go above 32mm for most of the riding I do.

I asked them years ago if they were going to do a steel Bokeh but they said not right now. I would like to get rid of my Tripster and Mason and have a single steel road/gravel bike with two wheelsets instead but there's not a lot of point while I have two functional machines.

I'm sort of getting by by having 'fast' version of the Mason with light wheels, and then the 'multi-day riding, speed isn't really top of mind' dynamo tank wheel setup.
I've run the dynamo wiring through the frame and then can quick detach the lights when I've got the other wheelset on as they're in-line with those Dyna-Snap magnet connectors.

I use my dynamo all the time. It seems silly not to.
On the gravel bike, the gravel wheels have dynamo but I got given a set of road wheels that I use on it that don't so I just leave the cable dangling near the wheel.

You might've been righter than you thought. I was poking around their site and found the Resolution now comes with... "Mason Aperture2.2 Thru-Axle full carbon fork with internal brake and dynamo light routing." so it does indeed sound like they've made a 'new, improved' version of the one I've got.
-
• #16
Ah yes this is the one I've fitted...
-
• #18
Yeah, I probably made some comment on that in the gravel thread. I'll wait until there's a non special edition version at more normal price. To be fair, since asking them about steel gravel I've bought a steel hardtail so it's maybe of less interest to me now - I still need to kill another Kinesis.

Moved to eBay.
Mason Aperture Carbon Fork. Disc mounts, Mason thru axle included.
Disc hose routes internally for a clean profile.
Rear bolt and frame mounts for mudguards, can include fixings for mudguard.
Around 24cm of steerer, see photo.
Will take 33mm tyre without mudguard iirc, 30mm with mudguard but can double check.
Good condition with a few cosmetic blemishes, though nothing major.
Selling as I need a fork with dynamo mount on the front.
May post but buyer pays postage.
