I bought some Bontrager tape which lasted well. It's gel backed rather than adhesive backed, so can be repositioned. It's bit like Cinelli cork ribbon.
Just because I was curious, I've bought some Fizik Tempo Bondcush Microtex 3mm (terrible name) to replace it. I've not installed it yet, so who knows if that was a good idea or not.

Bar tape: any preference or recommendation? Mine needs renewing and it would be nice to get something comfortable with a bit of give in it, preferably in black
