  • Maybe Letizia Paternoster will do some road racing next year https://archive.ph/EQMUh

  • Hello can someone explain Dylan Teuns to Israel Premier Tech for me please?

  • Team desperate for points signs a rider it hopes can gain some points in the remaining months of the season.

  • Makes sense. Must have been expensive

  • has a mortgage

  • He's a lot younger than most Israel signings, he's only thirty.

  • Also a nice way to duck doping allegations and make some extra cash 😂

  • Trying to watch the commonwealth games women's road race but they appear to be filming it with a potato

  • At least it's a British potato.

  • 'smooth roads'!
Has the commentator cycled on English/UK roads?

  • I think they mean smooth as in flat, a lack of climbs.

  • What a turd of a circuit. Fair play to the Australians for controlling the race from beginning to end, but it was straightforward for a squad of their calibre to do on that circuit.

  • Agreed … what a let down , surely they could have come up with a circuit that included some hills/places to split the race …. well done to the Australians but not very exciting …. wonder if the mens will be just as boring … ? Dennis not riding…

  • Fish Hill near Evesham and the lumps around Ilmington might have been the closest? When I rode out that way from Cov it was a mission to find long hills.

  • Disappointed with the very dull course. One can only hope ‘ar Cav has his mind in the right place.

  • Tivo paused then it came back at 1.6k to go. I'm guessing 1k of that 1.6k was not worth watching either.

  • Justin and Corey Williams are riding in the Commonwealth Games RR for Belize.

    Expect some #critbeef

  • England (Jake Stewart) tactics straight out of the movistar play book.

  • Scratch that, found it.

  • In the absence of radios are they fed time gaps at all? Motos maybe?

Edit. Roll back to the car.

  • Where is egan ?

Boxing ! Marginally better than horse whipping

  • Gates takes it from sniff sniff impey

  • Given that none of the cycling events were actually in Birmingham, the organisers should’ve gone to the Peak District…

I don’t know what the thought process was, but given Birmingham and the West Midlands’ attitude to cycling, it didn’t surprise me how rubbish the course was.

Surprisingly good racing towards the end though, so what do I know?

  • Bigger loop = more crew & volunteers & £££ for road closures though. Maybe a route around the roads through Cannock Chase could've worked too though?

Finish was acceptable, shame are Cav wasn't there for the sprint.

@mcflute I think the Jake Stewart / Movistar move was him trying to stay in the race as it is very local to where he grew up so he'd want to be up there.
