I have it and it's excellent. It's bulky, bulkier than you think. I use it with a pass through USB cache battery (only a small one)

Have you connected lights? It shows a frame connection, presumably for earth/return?

Yes lights are connected and the frame is earth. I connected mine back to the front light holder. It's inelegant but works.
