  • Thank god that Dear Susan has quit framebuilding to take the reins of the U.K. Handbuilt Bicycle show and allow him to concentrate on promoting a handful of his best mates who are still building!

@platypus ditto, that’s also the best review I’ve heard about Petor’s customer service.

  • Not a serious question, obviously, but how do people get away with double charging or up-charging for anything ? Once a price is set we’ve never added a penny to anything but it sounds like we are being absolute idiots!

  • Bad money follows good

  • So sad though. A lot of people finally pulling the trigger on a custom build have saved up and already stretched themselves, only to be, almost, blackmailed into paying more to get what they were promised?

    Bloody horrible.

  • Frame will returned to @sketch.

  • Parts are up for grabs though if anyone is keen.

  • Nice! I do like a happy ending.

  • Amazing

I actually like a lot of what he has built but that’s another conversation.

Going to Bespoked last year in Harrogate I thought there’d be a lot of snobbery aimed at what I was doing/what I displayed and I was wrong.

There was only one person who displayed any of that (to my face) and it was Petor.

At least it made the decision about whether to bother with the extra travel and hassle of getting to London for this year’s show an easy one to make.

  • Thank you @JamJam for being upfront.
My personal experience with him made me understand that he doesn't have respect to anyone, I've chosen him to make my frame because of his creativity, but he didn't listen me, just wanted quick cash. His brazing had quite a few pinholes. The frame felt like it was a bodged job. The disc brake mounts weren't straight, I think @jamjam can confirm that.

  • John Goose!!! How's it going brother?

    Unit 2, Roger

  • Narcissistic faux extrovert resents framebuilder exhibiting interesting, alternative products the likes of which he used to peddle?
I'd take it as a compliment

  • I honestly though it was a prototype given the build quality. Many thing had their faults but it was usable. Not sure I would be stoked if I had paid for it, let alone the amount it cost you in the end.

  • I think it looks very cool in the pics but a headtube gusset on a road frame is surely overkill.

  • I think it's supposed to have some kind of frame mounted rack on the front
