I used to work with a fantastic woman who had been a nun, then realised she was a lesbian and left to become a fisheries inspector then decided to become a theological professor.
She was talking about this becuase one of her dogs was old and had hip dysplasia i.e. its hips popped out its sockets randomly when walking which caused a lot of pain.
Her and her partner couldnt leave the 1st dog when taking the 2nd dog out becuase the dogs were siblings and hated to be parted. So they bought a second hand buggy to push the 1st dog round when walking the 2nd.
She said
"I know what people think when they see us in the neighbourhood, they think we're a pair of daft old lesbians who have lost their minds and are pretending that our dog is a baby. But, we dont care what they think as we just want our family to be together."
