I don't think that's the case
The top end ones of the past were made in Italy
Giant made a couple of alloy frames for them
According to wiki, they're mostly made in Taiwan now but the C40, C50 etc were all made in Italy in their time

Spectacular. What in the name of Antonio Columbus is that down tube?

Gosh , really quite the expert

That's a supercool tubeset, would love to own a frame of those one day. Perhaps Van Tuyl or Duell may have used it on their bikes back in the day? An Italian one would be out of my league for sure.

Sorry I wrongly phrased it, yes C-series are "made in Italy", lugs and tubes are least glued together there, and painted. Other carbon frames are outsourced, made in Taiwan is explicit (on carton box and also often on sticker).

Indeed, I really like the tube set as well. I haven’t seen any MS Duells but Herman Braun is another dutch builder who used MS.

More of an oddity than porn.

It does look familiar, and repetition hasn't softened my opinion of it.

This bike is from the French "Concours de Machine" (machine contest _ frame builder bikes), where the Victoire few posts earlier is also heading to for this year edition.

(I do agree that the Sram etap is big time out of place though)
It arrived third, "Grand Bois" from Japan. Each year there is a different Thema, in 2019 it was Paris Brest Paris.

Why would anyone go through so much effort to place the rear light in the least useful position?

Or cable entry holes right where are the rear wheel spray goes
Looks gorgeous tho

No denying the craftsmanship but this degree of putting form over function is just silly.

It's stainless steel so probs fine
I saw a Belgian carbon company brochure online that had pictures of the C series frames and parts.
The paint is contracted out but the frames themselves are definitely assembled by Colnago. I don’t know who actually makes the pieces.
