Planet X Pro Carbon Disc – Medium (53)
Up for sale because I shelled out for a silly-light carbon number and need to recoup some of the outlay! It is in excellent condition (I haven’t used it much at all) and the scratch on the top tube (see photo) is the only major blemish that I can see. I used this to do the North Coast 500 in Scotland in May and it took everything in it’s stride delivered me back to Inverness in (more or less) one piece.
Details as follows:
• Frame & Fork: Planet X Pro Carbon disc
• Groupset: Force 22 (compact 50:34 chainset and 11-34 cassette for getting up the steep stuff!)
• Brakes: Rever Havit mechanical disc brakes (not as fancy as hydraulic, but easy to maintain and adjust & provide as much stopping power as I needed)
• Wheels: Hunt Aero Light disc wheelset with Schwalbe g-one 32c tyres (quite a nice upgrade on the stock Fulcrum 800s)
• Bars & stem: Selcof with (100mm stem)
• Seatpost: Chinese carbon
• Saddle: San Marco Regal Racing Team (carbon rails)
• (Pedals not included)
Planet X currently offer the Pro Carbon Disc (with Force 22 hydraulic) for £1,800 and I think this version retailed at £1,600 with the mechanical discs and Fulcrum 800 wheelset (go to https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBPXPCDFOR22/planet-x-pro-carbon-disc-sram-force-22-hrd-road-bike - also gives sizing/geometry details).
Was going to chuck it on eBay for £850-900, but happy to deduct eBay/Paypal taxes and offer it here for £750 (let me know if that is too far out!).
Pick up from near Clapham Common tube (SW4) evenings/weekends (I might be able to get it to work - WC1X – for daytime pick up if more convenient). Any q’s just let me know.
