What about silver Cowbells? Not cheap though, and come in 46cm max.
-

Hm yeah. I'd forgotten about them. Actually tempted by some Cowchippers, not least because they come in a 52cm, which is what I'm currently riding and love.

Thanks. Got them on the Pack Rat. Nice, but not quite what I'm after.
Plumped for the Cowchippers instead. If they're no good I'll go back to the PNW bars I've got on the Midnight Special at the moment.

Small update on this - heard from the guys doing the paint job that it's finished. Brilliant news on a Friday afternoon.
Won't be able to collect it for a couple of weeks and am also considering getting it wrapped, which means more waiting. Worth it though I reckon.
Anyone had their bike wrapped and have any thoughts?

I do get that, and the impatient fool in me definitely wants to get it built up ASAP, but I also think if I'm spending this much on a paint job I want to look after it.
Should still get a decent patina over the years, but hopefully put off too much wear and tear.

Yeah I guess thats fair to want to keep it looking as nice for as long as possible!

If it means you’ll be a bit more relaxed riding it; thus ride it more/ with less anxiety, don’t see harm in wrapping it

I think Crust's look better when they're Crusty. I've decided to just not give a shit about mine. Looks great covered in dirt and stuff IMO. But then I paid way less for the frame than people in England given my locale and I didn't pay for a paint job!

So... Got it back from QCW yesterday. The paint job is simple, but looks bloody amazing.
Things that make me stupid happy are details like the grey line that now goes all the way through under the cable stop, where previously it had a gap (cheers for pointing that out Paul if you see this). Silly attention to detail, but I love it.
Having it here in my hands settles it - it's getting wrapped, so another few weeks to wait until it gets built up.

Oh man. That’s a fun looking bike. Love a Romanceur.
I won’t lie I’m going 1x and wireless shifting, but horses for courses. How do you like the Ultradynamicos?

AMAZING! pretty jealous on this one...I can see why you want it wrapped now :)
any idea on frame+forks weight?

Lol, I actually deleted the photo and my comment because for some reason I thought this was a generic Crust thread when posting and then realised it was your CP so deleted it.
Ultra's are great. Prefer them to the Rat Trap Pass's I have on another bike - very different tyres though - but man, they seem to just roll so fast given their tread patterns. Are they worth it at UK pricing? I dunno. They're $65 per tyre here which is just about palatable.

Yeah... I did consider not doing it, but for the sake of a couple of weeks, and how nice the job is, I'd be a fool not to.
Not sure actually. Will have a look later and see if I've got any way of weighing it around. Must have some scales somewhere. Should be a bit lighter than my Midnight Special, at the very least!

Ha! I did see it had gone when I came back and was a bit confused. All good though. Always happy to see more Crusts about.
That's a fair point. The import price does make them fairly spenny. Then again, I've just plumped for a pair of Umtanum Ridges, so I really can't complain... That's good to know though. I did consider them, but just wasn't 100% sure on them, whereas no one really seems to have a bad word to say about the URs (or Fleecer Ridges, which appear to be identical, but 700c).

I liked the Ultra cavas (jff) I had on Winston 1, only sold them because I didn't have room for them and mudguards.
Seriously considering a 650b pair for Winston 2.
The JFF version are £70, if you can get hold of them, only place I've seen them is Woods Cyclery. -

Lovely colour. Agree on the wrapping, then you can properly thrash it about without worrying about the paint.
Think Ultradynamico tyres would finish it off nicely. Indeed, a crust without them just might not look right.

You'd hope so!!
I thought my All city macho man, Reynolds 853 would weigh less than my transition rapture with 4130 butted chromoly, but it doesn't.
2.5kg vs 2.2kg (both with headsets)
I am inclined to agree. I do have a nice set of silver Middleburns and a Nitto S65 seat post that, with a little polishing, would do the job nicely.
Any recommendations for wide, silver drop bars with relatively shallow drops? I've got a set of Venturemaxs on my Riv, but I'm not completely sold on them.
Definite indulgence, but they just seemed to be the fastest and grippiest tyres out there in a size I've come to love.
