With the harder db killer it’s not too bad actually. Spending most of the time at lower revs anyway it’s just a deep ‘wapwapwap’ rather than a scream.
-
• #21703
Shit, it’s on sale to boot.
What’s it like putting on and removing helmet? Always had issues with normal in ear stuff -
• #21704
It’s fine. I can remove my arai without any issue. I can also remove the buds with the helmet still on to make removal easier.
-
• #21705
Hmm, interesting. I suppose what’s the loss. It’s 150 quid. Don’t like it, sell it.
-

I need something like this too as Google keeps taking me different ways to work so I still don't know the route by heart.
Just to ask the stupid question, it also acts like db reducing ear plugs, right?
-
• #21707
Yes. That’s the main point for me. It basically reduces ear volume on two ways: db reducing from the in ear plugs, noise reduction tech.
I can ride without music at motorway ‘plus’ speeds in perfect comfort.

I changed the plugs themselves to foam ones from
Amazon and that’s improved the comfort and seal too. -

Borrowed a mates MT07, great little thing!
Keep thinking of just sacking off old crusty bikes and getting a new one, Yamaha Tenere probably, but the tracer 900 also seems about right. Sensible time to buy used right now, or go new/lease seen as loads of dealers now seem to have loads of bikes in stock and sales have slowed to regular numbers, maybe some walk in the door type deals to be had?
-

I’ve owned an MT07 and a tracer 900.
Tracer 900 is an excellent bike for the money.

Yea I think the huge gas/energy/petrol hikes will negatively affect sales.
We’re no longer in a lockdown/boredom/gov’t-grants situation and suddenly all those bikes people bought since 2020 are looking very expensive in the garage when the family car costs £200 to fill a tank.
That said I sooner do shit on a bike than in the van.
Personally I’d love to try a T7, but it just looks so damn huge whenever I go to the dealer to look at it.

The 450L does motocross, and a bit of enduro.

Still jealous.

Been trying to make the bike lighter and more technical-capable, removing the rear rack, lighter exhaust etc. And then I go remember why I bought it and wild camp.
Now I’m back to sorting where everything is more suitably mounted.
Mudguard brace arrived today, and needed a small modification to fit.
Normally I’d keep the mudguard flexible in the (likely) event of a crash, but with the plan of wildcamping on the TET it will be useful to store tools or whatever up front and out the way.
The paint game on these is weak, probably rub off when I wash the mud from the bike next year.

Cheers.
I've gone for it.
Almost gave up trying to buy it tho. Chrome wouldn't stop showing my open tabs so I couldn't get to the basket. Tried another browser, but it took forever to just fucking buy it. The +tax price also makes it the best part of £200.
But it will be nice to be able to get directions and not spend the evening with tinnitus.

This is in my mind, but not really seeing used 2020 and 2021 prices coming down, looks better to buy new than buy those second hand.
Similar issue with cars, prices are still mad high, reluctant to buy something at inflated used price when during your winter they will come back down to earth. -
• #21717
Yea it’s a weird one. Nobody wants to be the first to admit that everyone is skint and that used prices are dropping.
I’ve noticed more and more bikes locally are selling for less extortionate prices. Nowhere near pre-Covid prices, but a drop from peak-Trotters Independent Trading.
As far as new, I believe that the chip shortage still has an effect on stock but now that interest rates are sky-rocketing there’s much fewer purchases.
I could and may well be totally wrong, but the showrooms look pretty full and the staff look pretty bored.

High mileage tracers don't seem like bad value. But I know what you mean.

Mate got a 2018/19 900 GT and has been super happy with it, no idea of miles but not the sort of bike thats really bothered about being used plenty.

Now, wasn’t someone talking about taking a CG on a green lane?
Guess who spent a couple hours today doing just that. Three crashes each, which is good going since normally I keep it upright. Also tried to show how to get over ruts by sheer brute force on the revs.

Got a mate who’s decided to join the bike life and is looking out for a 125 for not much money (c.£1k)- anyone on here got one they’re looking to shift?
He doesn’t want to have to do any work to it so needs be ready to roll. -
• #21723
I got it when it first came out so no strap, no additional parts.
It’s never pulled on my ears or been anywhere close to coming off. It just sits over my jacket, around my neck.
It retains some shape when bent so you just put it on and bend it around your jacked collar and that’s it.

Cheers. I was thrown by these bits labled; Neckband Fastener (left and right fastener, screws, magnetic buckle, screwdriver).
Helpfully I've misplaced the instruction booklet.
