hah, sorry I was inbetween zoom calls of doom.
I think it's great that the public sector has redeeming qualities besides just the money and that's enough to retain people (it retained me for a while...) but it really does skew the demographics and doesn't exactly promote equal opportunity.
What really annoys me is that they absolutely will not pay employees a market rate, yet will pay contractors a market rate, at all levels.
Plus, the endless tolerance for fly-by-night people in leadership positions on crazy day rates.
