My iPhone started telling me I had no memory so I tried deleting stuff, it wouldnt delete, and in my 7am slumber I decided to switch if off then reboot. It is now stuck on a reboot loop and wont start up, and recovery mode has failed to update from itunes due to lack of memory.
Am I going to have to restore and lose data? or anyone got another idea? I see there are some bits of software around with *great reviews and wanting a $29 fee to use.

What did you try to delete?

Photos and videos.
Issue is me rushing to switch it off thinking that would sort it then allow me to delete and free up space. Daft.

Whatever the fancier one was (10 vital GPU cores?), 16 / 512. Enough, didn’t go mad. Needed a machine asap for holidaying, still contemplating a Studio longer-term. Desk optimisation obvs to follow, will flip the iMac around and have them offset back-to-back when I get somebody joining me in the studio in November. For now though, plenty of real estate.

Looks nice. Might regret midnight.
Studio monitor looks well fancy. Wish they did at 32/34”

what is the cheapest alternative to the USB-C digital av multiport adaptor?
the options mentioned a few options back seem more expensive? it needs to charge the laptop and be connected to something 4K.
or is the able one the best option?
this?

Anker usually a solid choice

You don’t want the ‘cheapest’...
Can’t go wrong with Satechi/Anker.

Has someone replaced the battery from a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)? System is 'recommending a service' and since battery life is far from ideal I am starting to consider it... How much time and money is this going to cost me? :)

63 steps....oh my you'd really have to want to do it!

The problem is all the gubbins that I would only use once, quite a sunk cost (edit: these are actually included in the kit so might be worth a try thanks @kboy) plus if I screw something up there is no guarantees 😂 I did replace the hard drive and ram of my previous mbp and to be honest it was never as stable (I might have overdone it with excess ram)

My 2020 MBP keeps dimming the screen despite the auto-dim feature being unticked. Is there a way around this or have got to keep tapping the fucking touch bar buttons all my life?

Have you checked the ‘Energy Saver’ settings? There’s an option to reduce screen brightness there.

love that its punctured and cross chained at the same time

Not punctured! Latex tubes (well, tubs) innit. I have successfully been using it for local errands lately. Middle of the cassette barely counts as cross-chaining.

How are you finding it so far? Anything slow it down?

ID of the lamp left of the iMac? Not the Anglepoise

That was it, thanks for that
It's here, it's lovely but it's an absolute unit compared to my dainty 12. So even though it'll be mainly plugged into a screen/clamshelled I still feel a bit disappointed by it. It opens Powerpoint just fine though, which is good.
