No, Berlin isn't really Germany.
Interesting that you felt so safe cycling here.
I guess it's better here than in other places because loads of people on bicycles.

Just an episode of one of my first commute to work in Berlin.
Traffic light , went green, car in front of me stopping despite the intermittent light point on its right, I stop because I was scared of passing thorough, a mom with a cargobike behind me screaming to speed up coz I have right to pass straight.I was absolutely and positively shocked 😀

I have lived for years across Europe from Italy to Spain from Spain to Germany and then UK since 2017.
Never been so scared as cycling in Birmingham.
Berlin (that probably isn’t Germany) was the safest place I have been cycled so far.
