Aston are not likely to turn into a winning team soon so I suppose he wonders what the point is, scrapping with a team mate for 1 point.

Possible that removing himself from the circus he can be more outspoken about things with slightly less of the 'but you're part of it, you can't comment'. Or he's going to start racing fixie crits around the world.
I think this is the biggest loss IMO. At least we still have Alonso and Hamilton in that regard.
