I’m trying out some Ritchey Beacon bars. Freaky wide flare on them.
Can the elders please tell me what is taught in the scriptures?
Bottom of the drops parallel to the ground like this?
The hoods are set how I think they will feel most comfortable. Maybe up a little more?

Looks about right. Those drops will be lush. Huls, can you sign this off?

Yeah, I’ve had these bars sitting unused for ages, was too scared to switch, look like they could be either really good or really shit. But even sitting on the bike in the garage, the position in the drops feels like it will be great.

Looks like a better shape than the Venturemax, which I tried to love but the hump on the drops didn’t allow enough positions. Now enjoying the Pro Discover 20, as it’s available in a 40cm width. TMI

No one can convince me that bio-bend hump is a good idea

Pleasantly level.

PRO Discover medium flare is great too, even for road riding. 40cm is the new 42mm, that's what people need, less width and more BDHU

Looks alright.
But also looks like someone sat on them ;-)
I like venturemax as well. They freaky

They felt great on the first ride, the super shallow drops gave a lovely position.
I really don’t like the aesthetics of angled hoods, but it feels like a much more natural position at the wrists.

bad use of compact drops is what it is

Feels good, but I can't help but wonder if this is too much of a good thing
(edit: this picture suggests I need hoods slightly up)

I need a sideshot to determine angles and position.
But from what you've posted I think it will be BDHU -

Worlds biggest blog, mega money, important cause, raising awareness but zero fucking attention to BDHU

I'm about to re-wrap my bars and although it's comfortable I'm wondering if it could be comfortablier? HU only? Also is it not BDHUAI (angled in, the hoods that is).

Coworker didn't get the note, bdhtotheground. Also funny bike fitting

He parked it like that to fool @Hulsroy and make it seem like the drops are (almost) horizontal
