My starter word is always random. At some point, around midnight, I choose the next 5 letter word I see or hear. Last night, I was watching Alien³ and an ad came on for a car selling website...Then, at the last second I decided to switch the 2nd letter, using a word for a sea snail that is often associated with large, colourful sea shells. And missed my first 1-bang

Avidfan, you really have that as a starter?? Even with a duplicate letter? I cant work out what your first guess could have even been?!
Going from one bang-out ever, to now 3 in the space of days, is quite frankly hard to come to terms with.
