So I've started recording mixes live on musicboxradio.co.uk on the first Sunday of the month 1300-1500 with some of the people who've contributed to forum Bright Times things, with more to follow. @coppiThat first time around March and @MultiGrooves in June. Lewin from lmnh has run the original show for a while, playing a lot of boogie soul into some detroit type things, in a slot called london bOGgie, montlhly. Now he's offered to share with @thebaldingbuddha and me on a rotation once a quarter, so we called it London boOGie Connection. I'll be getting a mate mostly Bright Times people guest to share it each time I host.
Of course who or what this loose thing called Bright Times is or was is up to everyone's memories of the the late noughties etc, but I hope some of you people can get on board over the next few years. Gerald and Festus both played brilliant stuff on the shows so far. Have a listen!
Technically a bit ropey and some crackly vinyl but having a ball i seem to be playing lots of chuggy music. Pisti is up next time, Sept 4.
