You're in Broken Britain. Back to Fahrenheit, pounds, feet and inches for you lot.

Thomas Gloag off to Jumbo Visma for next season.
They’re also signing Dennis, Tratnik, Valta and Kelderman which is going to make them really very strong.

I think it was quite a strange TdF in that the stages that I really thought would deliver the drama were a bit of a damp squib but then other stages which didn’t really look much on paper delivered in spades. Absolutely ruthless by Vingegaard to take so much time on the first off day Pogacar has had in three years.
Comfortably the worst grand depart (from a racing point of view) I can think of.

Rohan Dennis is already on the team, they just didnt take him to TDF.
And you forgot Van Baarle :) -
• #42181
he had covid I think was supposed to go
-
• #42182
Ahhhh yes. Van Baarle is who I was thinking of.

Three VCL riders confirmed in the World Tour next year with one to go.
ALLEZ LES (ROUGES et) BLEUES!

Hayter, Fred Wright, Gloag?
-
• #42185
I'm not saying DSM are petty, but they have deleted all references on their website to Leo Hayter winning or even existing whilst on their development team.
I'm guessing he's not going there?
-
• #42186
E. Hayter, yep
-
• #42187
wow!
I'm guessing he's not going there?
Agreed. He hated it there in the devo team.
-
• #42188
I was clicking links from his Wikipedia page and they're all 404'd.
Maybe its standard for the rider pages when they leave but even a race report on Liege U23 is zapped.
-
• #42189
lots of salty gossip on DSM out there, not the best run/managed team

Just tuned in to watch the final stages of the Tour to find Vos and Balsamo (who has the company of Elisa LB) in the break in a sprint stage - did something specific happen or are they just not fancying their chances agains Wiebes who's clearly on fire?
-
• #42191
It was pretty crashy. Didn't catch the specific move but presume it was oppurtunistic and they went that way because it's easier sprinting against 3 than 10.
-
• #42192
Echelons happened! Was out riding today, so just read that, will have to catch the highlights or Eurosport rerun.
-
• #42193
Just saw a few of the crashes . Some at very high speeds.

Nicole Frain needs a sanction for sending it at mach 2 into Marta Cavalli while everyone around her was actively slowing or stopped. It looks like she thought she could snake through so doesn't bother braking.
-
• #42195
She was chasing back after another incident, on the wheel of the the rider that went flying into the ditch. It looks bad from the footage but I think they caught the bunch just as the crash happened and didn't react/were not able to brake in time.
-
• #42196
Footage here, bit grim.
Who was she with who ditched left?
-
• #42197
The combo of stupid and violence in that crash is disturbing
-
• #42198
Nicole Frain released a statement which seems to confirm that it’s better to shut up and have people think you’re stupid rather than open your mouth and confirm it.
-
• #42199
what happened to the girl in the field on the left? she looked like she was wandering around in shock/concussed.
-
• #42200
Different statement compared to the post race interview where she states she thought she saw a gap to get through.
