Thanks, they're still a bit shite but I can work on that....I've seen worse on bikes.
I remember reading that Jennings book when I was a kid (shortly before ruining my AR80 motor... :))
Gordon Blair at QUB did a load more work subsequently too.
I've a mate with a copy of this - https://vannik.co.za/EngMod2T.htm - so will use it once I'm ready to make a proper set. Lots of very detailed measurements required, so I need a motor to play with. Most are straightforward but calculating crankcase compression looks a bit fiddly!
As a retired teacher of metalwork etc., I am impressed - welding is (to me) very much a black art!
