can you use an angleset on a road bike? pitfalls? processes? good brands? my set up is internal 1 1/8 bearings in upper, internal tapered sized bearings in lower

Internal or zero stack? If the bearings go into the frame internal then no.

Why would you want to? Slack head angles come into their own on steep descents, where you want to turn very quick. Road bikes tend not to need to do that. Also, I can't imagine how badly a slack road frame would climb
