When I dug mine out recently I just googled it and went with one of the first hits. Not difficult to do.

Are ps5s still hard to get hold of? Everywhere seems sold out, but are they restocking more often?
-
• #27204
Yeah I've seen them in stock

Just had a quick browse. Blimey!

I'm GASing on one. I rarely play games but I'd really like to play Stray!

Ive played a bit already. It's a lot clunkier that the trailers would have you think. You basically can only do stuff when there's a prompt so a lot of it is just moving the camera around mashing the jump button until you find the 'right' way to go rather than being able to move around freely which makes a very linear path even more linear.
It does have some cute moments though.

Ah that doesn't sound so good as the demos appear. Cheers!

Where do people take old consoles (as in PS4 old)? Are there any charities that like taking this sort of thing?

Local hospital?

Anyone have an old copy of Halo (assuming it works on the 360) or the remastered version lying around?
-
• #27212
Surely they’ll port it to switch at some point?
-
• #27213
Good shout. There appear to be companies that act as aggregators / logistics for this sort of thing too

I'd be surprised to be honest, it seems like a pretty visually focussed game and it'll likely look pretty pants on a Switch (I say that as someone with a Switch!). I was considering picking up Cloudpunk on Switch but looking at the comparison between it on other consoles/PC it looks horrendous. Even Rocket League (which uses Unreal Engine 4 like Stray) looks pants by comparison, and that's owned by the same folks as UE so I'm sure they squeezed what they could out of it.

My phone plays games at a higher resolution and fps than my switch. I love the switch and it's amazing for retro and remasters but I'd buy a proper HD version in a minute.

Considered a Steam Deck? Haven't really looked into them all that much myself, but seems like a pretty nice option. Well, aside from the size. One of the main reasons I went for the Switch Lite was because I figured the regular one was too big for a handheld (especially coming from a Vita). But christ the Steam Deck is massive:
P.S. Assuming that scale is accurate, 91 x 208 for the Switch Lite vs 117 x 298 for the Steam Deck so looks about right

Oh yeah very much so. I use Hori Splitpads on the switch so it's much bigger than normal anyway. I haven't bought one because I think there's still a big waiting list and I'm not 100% on how plug & play it is. Also I've heard the battery life is like max 2 hours whereas the Switch will get me though a 3 hour flight quite happily.

Yeh it’s really hit and miss with the switch ports. Alien isolation is an amazing job, but maybe Stray is too difficult.
-
• #27219
Alien Isolation was a PS3 era game.
Switch plays nice with that era of games. -
• #27220
Anyone playing TMNT?

• #27221
Played a bit with my daughter, we had fun for a few hours.

Very much game/engine-specific though. Can't imagine GTA4 (or V for that matter!) dropping on the Switch anytime soon.
Saints Row 3 runs pretty rough, I think that's the only other game of that era that I've got on my Switch. Granted that's a got a bit more going on at any one point than Alien
Alien Isolation does look damn good on the Switch though:

Hori Splitpads
Would you recommend? Quite tempted.
-
• #27224
Very much so. The downside is they don't have a battery so can't be used separate but they're a world better than the standard pads. Super comfy, shoulder buttons that actually work, really smooth sticks and buttons and on the fly programmable back and turbo buttons.

Sweet cheers. Think that'll be a present to myself soon then.
Sorry if a repost. Knew about the Last of Us TV show, but this passed me by: https://www.thegamer.com/fallout-set-image-reveals-super-duper-mart/
