  • Depends on the bike. Most of the ones I use on the regular have some kind of frame mount. If not, in the jersey pocket or if I was commuting it'd be in the backpack.

  • Funny, I've now moved my Lezyne mini track pump and the plastic bracket is kinda floppy so it's rattling on the frame a bit. I wonder if the carbon one would be stiffer and keep it in place a bit better when mounted on the down tube rather than seat tube.

  • Yeah the plastic mounts are a bit floppy. The alloy and carbon ones are solid.

  • Depends is not the answer that I was hoping for as it adds an additional layer of decision making/faff to pre ride preparation.

Perhaps accept the the ‘gram is going to have to like itself and lean into whatever’s comfortable, yeah?

  • It doesn't matter is the answer.

Do you have a frame mount on the bike you are using? If yes, use frame mount. If not,
Do you have a bag with you? If yes, use bag, If not,
Do you wear a jersey or something with pockets? If yes use jersey, If not
Leave it at home and take cab money
