I'm going to try my luck with my insurance. No dental but these were impacted wisdoms so I may be able to get them to cough up for some of my fun. £2k buys a lot of beer...

I think the most painful bit after the needle jabs was when she kept grabbing my facial hairs during the stitching.

Yeah, might depend on your dentist but my Polish woman was pretty good, lots of asking if I'm ok while I tried to make jokes about the music or whatever. I didn't even see which tools they were using at the time - only when stitching I could see the suture stuff.

I'd rather see what's going on and offer a response if something goes wrong and I have a choice to make rather than just leave it up to them to make a decision.

Locals are also a lot safer for ancient fucks like me.

I had a little hose in my nose, felt normal and then boom! High as fuk and super relaxed.
It cost $50 extra, wasn’t covered by insurance but well worth it.

I had 3 wisdom teeth out. One lower removed by dentist under local anaesthetic. Two upper at Kingston Hospital under general anaesthetic. nil by mouth night before, woke up mid morning with a lot of facial bruising. Discharged on the day, I needed a cab no way I could navigate my way home by public transport. Then spent two days post op drinking beer at local pub in Mortlake or liquid foods, I could not crunch on anything for a week, it was a miserable time. Whatever they put into each socket to aid healing tasted awful. Glad I had them done back in 1992, not sure I could face all of that today.

I could just buy a bunch of nangs like all the kids do these days.

Swelling is worse in the morning. Pain is worse and tastes gross but just keep brushing and salt rinsing.

I rode home after mine cos it was only a local local. Didn't do anything Tue but did 15min on the turbo which felt like quite enough. Going to hit it again today and hoping I'm ok to do a hilly 200 on Sat, although it's not looking promising given my head doesn't like sudden movements, etc.

I've done hundreds of hours on gels and energy drink only so the feeding shouldn't be an issue.

just be careful of hard sucking...
the small clot that forms in the empty socket can be pulled out so squeezing a gel and sucking the last drops of goo out could be risky.

though this is less likely as the days post op go by.
