Yeah, might depend on your dentist but my Polish woman was pretty good, lots of asking if I'm ok while I tried to make jokes about the music or whatever. I didn't even see which tools they were using at the time - only when stitching I could see the suture stuff.
I'd rather see what's going on and offer a response if something goes wrong and I have a choice to make rather than just leave it up to them to make a decision.
Locals are also a lot safer for ancient fucks like me.

Yeah it's not the feeling, coz you don't feel shit I guess. It's the whole pliers and hands in my mouth and breathing in my own saliva and latex gloves unpleasantness
