How is the drop between the existing and new done? Will you have to excavate it or is it just the difference between a suspended floor and non-suspended?
That's a good question. Was hoping to not have to excavate and have a smooth transition. Obvs, thinking about it, there'll inevitably be some sort of step up from the hallway to the kitchen?
Existing ground floor is a concrete slab, ~400mm or two steps down to the garden which I really want to maintain. Think the new floor will be a slab too, though hopefully with some insulation and underfloor heating!
