I can see what you mean. I know coming from road bike or 23mm fixie my secan feels kind of sluggish and boring. It's got 38mm tyres and it's not a light bike. However once I get it moving I forget that pretty quick. It's super "stable" and irons out a lot of road shit that frankly really gets on my tits on skinny tyres. But quick accelerations (urging you on) yeah I don't really get that. Off road I think it's a different story and for me the big rides I've done on all the surfaces make up for those negatives. I've used it purely as a road bike in winter but it isn't a road bike or a cross bike.
