As I understand it, blue signs are generally informational, and red signs are generally warnings / instructions.

From that it seems like the only signs that are to be obeyed are the circles/triangles eg blue circle for cycle paths and red circle for no cycling...
But bus lane signs are rectangles...confused.

Anyone know if this is an official sign?
I know the DfT recently allowed new signs including allowing cycling exceptions down one way streets and wonder which body created this one. -

I'd quite like a sign for drivers that sits on the steering wheel and says 'Be nice and don't act like a cunt.'
