On a similar note for 26ers, has anyone tried Continental double fighters? Its quite dry most of the year here so not so bothered about serious tread, and they look ok for tarmac too.
They are quite weighty as I recall. I'd only get them if you'd like the added puncture protection over something like the Billy Bonkers.
Yeah they are not the minimal 90s XC tyres of the same name! Fine (and cheap) for casual use on tarmac and light off-road though.
