  • I got some coffee candies from the Polish shop. They are like the ones you get in Italy and Spain. Ingredients say 2% coffee extract. Is there significant caffeine in them? (Should I stop crunching through the bag? I've already had an actual coffee today.)

  • Edit: Put into correct thread

  • I bought two chairs from a shop and organised it to be delivered - they have sent me a separate invoice for delivery which has the delivery cost and then 20% on top for VAT. Is that right?

  • delivery cost and then 20% on top for VAT. Is that right?

Delivery charges attract VAT at 20%, so that part of it is right.

  • Does anyone own a pair of Giro privateers lace? Did you go a size up? They are pretty narrow, I have a 46 and 47. The 46s are pretty tight but the 47s are a bit too roomy around the toes. I guess they will break in and loosen a little? I'm leaning toward the smaller ones at the moment as I'm worried the larger ones will end up a bit too baggy.

I should probably just find a different shoe with a better fit but can't really be bothered looking around again.

  • Got an attachment to earnings letter from my work over the weekend.

It's only a small amount but they're taking payments in 2 goes.

    Is it not 3%?
    Who decides the amount?

    I can't not pay it, it's fine it's 300 bones but I just think that's a bit sneaky!

  • Get the larger ones and out an insole in to take up the slack.

  • I'm losing my bike / bike tat storage shortly. Anyone had any good experiences with self storage around east London? Period of 12 weeks or so

  • How, if at all, can I stop being spammed which is aimed at an email address which is the same as mine but the .com version not my .co.uk?

  • How are you being spammed if it's being sent to a different address? Do you mean it is sent to your address, but intended for the other? How do you know?

  • My email address is kilo24.co.uk (obviously that’s not my real email address) and it’s a constant stream of crap addressed to a kilo24.com arriving in my inbox and spam folder.

Years back I did receive some legit emails for kilo24.com so the person and email does exist in USA.

Look at the headers, see where the .com appears, create filter to bin them. Obviously this relies on either using a good email client or having access to your inbound server to write filter rules there.

I barely understand the last bit but I’m going to take a punt that free yahoo mail isn’t going to be much use

  • the person and email does exist

have you tried writing them an email

  • Hopefully yahoo will allow you to create simple mailbox rules. You could create a rule that says that any mail that’s addressed to ‘kilo24.com’ automatically gets moved to the spam folder. The emails are probably addressed to kilo24.com and kilo24.co.uk. Then you wouldn’t see it, regardless of who sent it.

Edit: looks like it does. Have a look here for how to create them

So it appears in To field, alongside your .co.uk address?

  • My .co.uk isn’t appearing anywhere, just the .com imposter and it’s all spam aimed at yanks.

Cheers AlexD I will have a look

  • If on FB, join the group Buy Sell Trade Drums UK, normally a very good, functional market, friendly, well-priced etc. Usual very occasional scam so be aware.

Older but top of the line Iron Cobra (with ball bearing in the foot plate) come up frequently for 150-200 condition and age dependent, and would be my recommendation. Feel free to DM if more Qs.

  • Has anyone used SpokeSafe for secure bicycle parking/locking? Need to find secure bike parking for tomorrow during the day, in central London.

  • JavaScript:void(0), is it my issue or the website’s?

Have tried refreshing, ensuring JavaScript is enabled, erasing cache/cookies, using separate browsers and devices.

It’s wiggles chat function, if that matters.

  • Recommendations for a relatively cheap no-frills spin bike? Foldable, magnetic brake and some sort of tablet holder (or additional handlebar mounted tablet holder) all preferred

  • JavaScript:void(0), is it my issue or the website’s?

That's what some links have as their "href" (URL of the target page) as a placeholder, and the detection of a (potential) click is done via other means/magic (which involve more javascript) so if a link isn't working it's a separate issue from the "void(0)" indicator in the status bar. Could be your adblocker, or it could be turned off at the website. (it's probably the latter)

This "turning off" can be done selectively (based on user's location from the ip address for instance) so you could try with another ip, from a 4G connection for instance. My Vodafone broadband (UK) IP still shows incorrectly as India at some registries, which causes all kinds of problems (mostly excessive captchas)

As of writing this (15:21 BST) wiggle (co.uk) 's "Need help" chat link opens a pop-up telling me all agents are busy, so it seems to be working at some capacity.

  • What browser? Probably websites problem.

  • Thanks.

    @Sumo- Firefox and windows’ own.
