I think it can look hip hop without looking like it was welded at arms length in a garden shed

@glws I should never have sold it ;). I'll have to start shopping again when I get a build started proper because I probably will just go for mechanical Red 22 again...

I never realised my Standert was a faux HH frame set. I should treat it to a new groupo or at least a wash.

Do you mind me asking what they quoted for the frameset?

Vetta are €1500 with single colour f+f (Columbus Futura) and headset.
FTW are $1250 for frame only without paint.

Someone mentioned low but his custom bikes are $$$. However his “Low Key” bikes (not custom geo, not painted, not extra polishing/ sanding) are in your ball park if they are ever in stock. I’m not a huge fan of unpainted aluminum though so.

Would definitely fancy a Low Key also... 15 month wait time at the moment I think but his frames are rad!

Why buy a custom bike? After all, there are a lot of cool bikes that initially look beautiful. Take for example the Schwinn company, they have a lot of cool aluminum bikes (as for me). Maybe I haven't reached the level of riding that you are, which is why I'm discounting the value of custom bikes.
