Latest iPhone with shit phone holder? Lolz!
You probably love cheap knockoff/unbranded tubes and tyres from eBay too...

Not shit surprisingly good actually!
Don't really need phone on my bike so why pay top dollar? -

does anyone have any experience with the Restrap city loader bag? Trying to decide between it and just the regular brompton borough? Or are there any other suggestions. Blue lug has one but its $$$ once you add shipping to the mix.
there is an overpriced used ebay one

Love mine - perfect size - really well considered and functional. Highly recommend. edit. my one and only tiny crit is that the hanging loop can snag on the stem doo-dad, the planets have to align but happened twice so i innovated the thread strap through loop situation above. not a reason to avoid at all - did think about mentioning to re-strap, haven't got round to it.

H&H’s BB or Token’s BB from your experience?

Have they announced it now then?
We got sent the stuff covered with "confidential" the other week, coincidentally had a Barbour Brompton pop in today for a repair -
• #11714
Probably not, embargo means nothing to brompton dealers in Asia ;)

You recommend H&H crankset over the standard Brompton version?
-
• #11716
I don’t think so; change the chainring yeah, and the bolts /bb but the cranks are legit good enough; unless you go non square taper / carbon / something fancy

Anyone in this thread using a standard tensioner with a hub that's not got a solid nutted axle?
@sbbohr have you done this kind of setup? I was thinking I could run a hub with a nice clicky freehub in the hooky 20" rear triangle but I'd like to keep the stock tensioner and have realised it won't be possible to do that if the axle is a qr one.
I could use a shimano hub and change the axle to a solid one but they aren't clicky :(

Use a Jtek QR insert for Brompton, designed by yours truly.
Run a halo xl skewer; remove rh housing and add a nice washer.

Excellent, I knew there’d be something.

My Brompton had been in a cupboard since the beginning of Covid, with a puncture, really dirty and in need of TLC. I no longer do the combined train/folder commute. Finally took it out and sorted what needed to be sorted. I'd missed it, and hope to take it with us to our mini holiday or of London soon, if there's space in the car...
