Combination of holidays, BBQs, covid have meant less weight loss, but body recomposition seems to be going well.
Might do some progress pics.Sub 68kg is the revised goal, for 1st August (for a month in France) with main focus of improved strength and fitness.

After a big up I’m back to where I was this time last week! Eating carbs inc sugar as well as running 70km at endure 24 last weekend meant i went from 70.7 to 75 and now back at 70.7, I’ve never tracked weight post a marathon so it was a bit of a shock and revelation!
A friend also had some Supersapiens patches he got given free so I stuck one on last Saturday, so far the data has been interesting but not life changing as per the sales hype!
The things I’ve learned so far are that a mid morning coffee with no food and some oat milk (like 50ml) causes a huge spike, and it takes about 30 minutes at the moment for my body to warm up steadily and start increasing blood glucose and I seem to be really sensitive to bread but not so much to fruit, although not sure how much of this is tied to recovery.
Like @Acliff target is 68, partially because that’s the target I set in January, but also because it should mean I’m below 15% body fat according to my scales.
As I’m relatively close, I’ve ordered some new clothes as all my trousers are ridiculously loose and I’m going into the office for the first time in 6 months next week and I want to look smart!

Being able to fit into substantially smaller clothes is a great feeling!
I have an adjustable weight vest for pull-ups and dip training, and I put 10kg in it the other day. You don’t notice so much as the weight comes off gradually but the amount of difference 10kg makes is pretty shocking!

It makes a huge difference - I'm currently at 85kg (having been 95kg at Christmas) which is the lightest I have ever been since I started recording my weight in 2007. Belts are now on the smallest notch, my suits look a bit stupid but I only wear them one day a week so really trying to resist buying a new one ;)
I also dabble with indoor climbing & have done for years, not at any good standard, but I suddenly find that it seems a lot easier now I don't have to drag round an extra 10kg of dead weight.
By the way I credit ALL of this to Nutracheck.

well done to those who have been losing 6-10 kg. I have not bought any scales, but am pretty sure I am at 78-80kg, when I think c72 would be very healthy, and achievable. I have been eating very healthily, just a bit too much. A couple of health issues mean I cannot run (and that used to be the basis of all fitness) but I do cycle on undulating terrain for about 45 -60 mins 4x a week. Off to Austria cycling for a week soon, so hoping that will kickstart steady exercise over the summer and maybe lose c5kg by mid September. Buying scales would help. Thanks for the inspiration.

Mine has been Myfitnesspal, tracking food, calorie burn and weight progress is key.
I don't like Myfitnesspal's interface, but as I've been using it for ages, use it for free, and I feel like I need to stick with it as it has so much data on it now.On a similar vein as climbing, I was able to do about 10 chinup sets when I was 81kg. I've got a bit stronger since the beginning of the year, but having lost 10+ kg, I can now do 25.
Reckon I'll get to 30 when I hit 68kg. -

Return back to being on track this week, getting near my target but hovering a bit above it because I’m relaxing a bit on things. Hope to have a few concentrated weeks before holiday when some things will inevitably slip..
Weight 74.4kg to 71.4kg
Waist 75cm to 75cm
Body fat 19% to 18.6%It is getting harder now as marathon training is ramping up a bit faster than I expected, I had a bit of a carb explosion on Saturday night ahead of Sundays long run. Will try to go without this week, and run on my own as if I blow up it won’t be the end of the world!

I'm now roughly the same weight as this time last year, which I then held steady through July, August and September. The amount I managed to gain from comfort eating over the autumn/winter amazes me

One week after leaving hospital, still no booze, and I've eaten many more fruit and veg, and a whole lot less cheese and processed meat. I've been exercising, going for long walks and mowed the lawn.
And lost only 200 sodding grams.19/06/22: 103kg

Don’t worry about the first week, as a lot of the 3kg you would have lost would have been temporary, so being 200g less is pretty good going.
Really good to change the content of what you’re eating, I would recommend working out how many calories what you’re eating comes to.
If you were gaining 500g a week previous to your health scare, you would have been eating about 500 calories too much a week.
You would need to cut 500 calories to maintain weight, and a further 500 calories to lose 500g a week.
Replacing processed meats and cheese for fruit and veg will reduce calories for sure, but knowing how much is a useful piece of info.

I had quite a lot of carbs yesterday, due to family meal, and some snacks, so surprised to get there. Maybe 69 isn’t far off.
From Sunday I’ve been doing the Zwift 4 week FTP booster, and going for a couple of runs, so ramping up some cardio work.

Great work, and congratulations!
69.7kg this morning, it doesn’t really count unless it official Monday weigh in, but it’s the first time I’ve seen a weight in the 60s ever so a bit excited, just had a load of sugar free banana bed which is sub optimal in terms of being keto, but it needed eating and I’ve got a long run and hard bike to do today so know I’ll burn it off!
Oh and breakfast this morning was banging….

Congratulations!
I suppose it’s no added sugar banana bread, sugar free banana bread is a pretty misleading recipe title…
-
• #866
Haha yes, suppose it’s no sucrose banana bread, but there is fructose…
Interestingly while it did have a noticeable impact on my blood sugar it didn’t cause a spike over 120.

Random IF reading has led me to discovering lean gains. anyone follow that method? Seems like it would suit my lifestyle

OK weird a few weeks back I achieved and acceptance that 70kg was fine, it was a healthy weight and maybe my sub-70kg days are behind me.
I’m 68.6kg now, almost the lightest I have been in about 3 years. I have been consistently under 70kg for about a fortnight. -

I got back down to 80kg. Had a month of things to eat too much and drink much at ballooned quickly back to 88kg.
Was back down to 84kg then caught covid and ate utter shit and drank purely fizzy juice.
I have a seriously unhealthy relationship with food. My go to is salt, chocolate and empty carbs the minute life throws a hurdle.
-
• #871
Go easy on yourself, you had covid and pretty much every human defaults to those foods given a chance. I put on 2 kilos after a tough week, determined to burn this last 5kg though 💪

You are not alone. Have had a stressful and exhausting month and consequently have eaten bucket loads of crisps, drunk loads of beer, and eaten a lot of bread. Also whatever other shit is in reach. Back up to 79kg as a result. This is my red line though - having got down from 91 I said to myself that 79 was the upper limit from here on, so I’m going to have to put that to the test now.

Posting here for the first time. Was doing pretty well, but stalled recently and then a bit of a setback over the weekend with picnics and bbqs - cheese, bread, beer, strawberry daiquiris, sausages etc.
Need to get back on the horse now. Horse in question is one meal a day fasting (basically, eat whatever you want but only between 6-8pm).
Hoping (ambitiously) to get to 89kg in about a month, long term goal is more like 76-80kg.

Went off the rails for the last three months. Was commuting by bike, but working next to veggie deli/vegan junkfood place/pizza/pub took it's toll.
Was 91kg in Jan, got down to ~82, now at 84.4. got a long weekend in Berlin then it'll be calorie counting to lose another 7kg or so. Having the kitchen replaced as the same time will make that interesting...
This one was easy: 7 nights in hospital with them providing not enough nice food, and no booze.
Of course I did lie in bed all day most days.
