  • People who call my mobile.

  • Oh, I do that. I sometimes even call people to tell them I can’t speak to them right now.

  • I generally agree, however in a work capacity for complaint handling it is occasionally essential.

  • Proactive, nice.

  • is the reason you're too busy to talk because you have lots of people to phone to tell them that?

  • Probably is but I’ve never found it. I’m sitting on the fence here.
That said, It doesn’t help when you get the ‘outa my way’ types that are right beside you at the moment the cashier hands you a receipt.
Back in the day when I used to use cash it really peed me off when cashiers put the change on top of the note so you needed two hands and five (absent) free seconds to separate the two correctly between wallet and pocket.
Hooorah for contactless; one less delay for the F1-pit-stop-shoppers.

  • Relentlessly cheerful.

  • Jetskis

    4x4s of the littoral zone

Jet skis can get in the sea.

  • People at work who come to your desk to talk to you and proceed to start reading what is on your screen. Nosey pricks

  • My mate used to do this whenever I text.

I just start typing nasty shit about him till he looks away.

  • Then they touch your monitor.

  • People who pierce their babies ears.

Just saw someone at school pickup with a baby in a pram with earring. Actually made me feel a bit emotional. And nauseous.

  • I agree. It makes me feel very uneasy.

Its culturally very important to people though. In Brazil, Argentina and some other South American countries the midwife will do it for you before your baby goes home.

Edit: Wow, had no idea how widespread it was. Common to pierce ears of newborns and infants in India and loads of West African countries too. Mind boggling.

  • Wait until you hear what they do to half the boys born in the world

  • Yeah I noticed it a lot in India and Sri Lanka.

Im hesitant to piss-on, nay-say or otherwise be dismissive of cultural traditions (be they religious or otherwise), but I think I my view of this is similar to my view of infant circumcision (both male and female), which is that it can fuck right off until the person is old enough to make the decision them self

  • Wait until you hear what they do to half the boys born in the world

I know i'm clutching at straws here and that this in no way justifies widespread genital mutilation, but at least male circumcism reduces the spread of HIV and the HPV that causes cervical cancer.

  • So do condoms.

    Ha! Good point.

  • Then they should do it to adults, not babies

  • Preaching to the converted here. Literally.

  • Used to be quite common here in Portugal too, I never thought of it as an issue before.

  • Yeah I wasn’t taking your comments as pro, don’t worry!

  • My neighbour who enjoys sitting in his garden as much as I do, however he has some sort of nasal thing going on which means he coughs then clears his throat every 30 seconds. This has been going on for a week or so, the week I took off to sit in peace and quiet.

I'd like to beat him to death with my bare hands..

Typing this listening to him I realise now that this should be in the Bastard neighbour thread.

Perhaps I'm the Bastard. I really do wish I was more tolerant of people but the reality is as I get older I fucking hate them.

  • I had to get out of a taxi a good couple of miles from home because the driver was sniffing and throat snorting what seemed like every few seconds and i couldn't take it any longer. I'm struggling to think of a more irritating noise. Way worse than the inhale slurp noise people make when they drink hot drinks half an inch away from their lips
