Alpe d'Huez is going to be packed on Bastille Day, I assume. Does anyone have any tips on where to leave the camper and where to go, if we arrive tomorrow?

I parked up on this road here in the past. I think it was a church car park.

A fair hike to the alpe but the traffic is manic any closer and you will spend hours getting off the mountain if you get any closer

Thanks! Sounds doable on foot. At least to one of the lower hairpins
