  • yep and they are unlikely to crack Pog by attacking him, that would just be burning matches. The fact Ineos had Castroviejo in the break on Sunday shows that a stage win is important to them as the overall win is unlikely IMO

  • I can't see Pog losing much if any time this week. Even if Ineos do go for the burning matches strategy with Yates and Pidders (closest on GC) then inevitably JV will cover them, in turn dragging Pog along for the ride. So either he really doesn't like the heat (bs) he really doesn't go well over 2k+ climbs (bs) or there's enough ganging up on him in the Peloton to unseat him (again bs). All Hail Pog. MVDP for the stage today 100km solo, surely he's recovered now....

  • Pogacar has said himself that he sometimes struggles when it's really hot. He cited this as a reason as to why he was dropped by Vingegaard on Ventoux last year.

  • So either he really doesn't like the heat (bs) he really doesn't go well over 2k+ climbs (bs) or there's enough ganging up on him in the Peloton to unseat him (again bs). All Hail Pog.

    Ahem ;)
