Tell your friend he looks fat and needs to get a bike with a taller head tube so his beer gut doesn't cause his knees to flair out.
I'm 184cm (short legs though) and ride a 54cm frame with 130mm stem. Race plus happy to ride for long distances.
Your bike looks alright, albeit you're a bit upright with your elbows locked out (for a race bike).
