Watching the Giro Donne, and the riders in 1st, 2nd and 4th are chasing a lone leader, with the tiniest female rider I’ve ever seen hanging on with them. It looks like they’ve got a kid tagging along for the ride.

Was she Spanish? I remember watching a women's race (I think held in Spain - nat champs?) and having to rewind the footage because I couldn't believe the size disparity with a couple of the riders.

No, Italian. Gaia Realini is her name. She finished 14th (?) on GC.
