This is actually a lovely suggestion, my Dad has a nice old steel Vetta so it's something I'll definitely look into!

When you start playing with the colors, it can look like a Standert

Weis Hammer Road with carbon ISP is about as HipHop as it gets if you ask me

oooofff

Yess!!

Probably it's also your cheapest option. We had way of saying in a Italian fixed gear forum : Vetta could make it better and at half the money... The paint is the only down side, they are not bad but a bit uninspiring. You can have the frame naked and have some paint wizard put on a good hip hop livery

i think the good alu condors are made by Deda- my Italia is.
-
• #60
condor italias are nice, but to refer to the brief, are about as spicy as a padron pepper
@Nahguavkire allez sprint ? :)
-
• #61
Jesus, Mary and the carpenter Joseph... these are absolutely god tier! The paint jobs are superb!
-
• #62
allez sprint ? :)
The thought has certainly crossed my mind but I can't help but feel they're almost too predictably hip hop and also a bit spendy for what they are...
If I got a deal on one I'd certainly not rule it out though!

Very tempted by the Vetta alright, I'll drop them an email and see what their offering is like!
I'm actually even tempted by a fairly minimalist paintjob to be honest but I wouldn't mind starting with a raw frame and going from there! -

Alanbike.it have the Mito AL not fully custom but custom geo available at a good price. Also Racer Rosa and I believe Condor can do a custom Italia RC. legend Giau and Formigli Uriel

I've heard back from Vetta and their offer is indeed excellent!

Built in aluminium mech hangers scare me. Will make a great single speed though.
-
• #67
Fair point... it's fully custom though so I'm sure they can be made as a replaceable part for an upcharge.
-
• #68
mmm, it looks a bit like a cinelli experience...
don't mean to piss on your chips at all, maybe i'm not ready to see the HH in it
-
• #69
Nice, just unimaginative
-

I’m petty sure the hanger is replaceable as standard, they are just very well designed;
The dropouts are machined from solid with a CNC milling machine, the gearbox support can be replaced.
They are lovely, but I’m not convinced they’re HH.

Agreed it's not the spiciest thing I've ever seen in that guise but given that it's custom build I presume I could tweak geo to make it a bit more HH/ compact and just get what is effectively a Spooky Skeletor?
I'm not set in stone on it anyway and I still have an ideal option with Frank The Welder but the Vetta would be considerably more cost effective and less hassle being in EU... (I appreciate hip hop considerations should not be based on practicality).
@Mukashibanashi
Just confirmed with them and hangers are replaceable also. -

It does look good. I'd see if they could do internal cable routing, maybe see if they can get away without dimpling the chain stay and also if they have any skinnier seat stays or even oval ones
And a straight 44mm headtube is always an easy HH win to show off the CK headset -
• #73
Rad! Looking forward to this.
This color is really good to combine with some anodised parts -
• #74
I've just sent them a photo of a Spooky Skeletor and asked can they basically just do that, lol.

Straight steerer and ugly welds?
Agreed, the branding does look cheap
