  • If there were any gravel in the Peak, then my front tyre might still be intact, and the grass verge outside the Strines Inn might not be covered in sealant.

  • cheers, will take a look

  • Praying that the pub was at least open whilst you suffered this indignity

  • Finally got to the NY Moors yesterday (it's on my doorstep). Sad to find a total lack of #gravel.

  • It's mint up there. Rode up to kilburn to follow the pubduro route to Blakey then south again. Amazing riding up through the woods on Friday night, then miles and miles of perfect riding. Only one section of hike a bike for a minute or so, rest was spot on. Riding on the top of Sutton Bank at sunset was particularly magical.

  • No gravel in Kent either today.

Good thing I was on the road bike, I’m starting to think this gravel thing was just made up to sell us stuff :D (Apologies for potato quality pic)

  • Not bad for over 5,000miles

    Id say that's crap.

  • Definitely worth looking at used 27.5/29er wheels. I got some dt Swiss xm1501 (I think) which were over a grand new, for £200. They've been flawless including loaded descending down rocky stuff at speed, have 240 hubs and weigh 1300g or something.

  • Id say that's crap

I’d agree, if I didn’t ride it like an MTB and also overload the things. The compost was 40kg plus panniers and shit. As they were their cheapest road disc wheels I think they’ve been good :D

  • Very late replay here but is that a Honky Tonk? Are those 32's on there?

    Looks great!

  • Whereabouts in Kent is this?

  • I think that was somewhere near Rochester on the coast. Most likely the Riverside County Park bit of the coastal trail/path.

We took the train to Rochester, then did a mix of the coastal roads and trails. When we wanted to get on with it, we went on the A2 until Faversham, then back on the coast and roll to Margate. Its a road bike ride, but there must be more trails like that in the area, we just tried to avoid them. Not sure my Vittoria Corsas liked them...

  • One for the handlebar angle chat

  • I rode my friends (older) arkose yesterday and this morning. Just a reminder to all that they ride rather good and are the ultimate go to grave bike.

  • Peak ATB

  • Peak amey

  • I've got a Dolan GXA coming in two weeks or so. Cycle to Work as well, for the tax win. Will share photos when it's here.

  • Anyone recommend good folding 26" tyres? 2.0 or there abouts.

  • Not folding bead, but I'm well impressed with Continental Contact Urban.
Contact speed are nice and supple as well, and come in a version without reflective stripes, if you're so inclined.

  • Slightly poor light to spot the lack of gravel in Dorset… bonus Albion tie dye still visible, however.
