how much sealant, and is it dumping a bit of pressure at the same time ? could just be the bead pinging into place if they didnt do that as Stoo61 describes, but this would only flick out a v tiny bit of sealant.
I concur on the heebie jeebies. I did have a pair of G-One Ultrabites burst off the rim a while back. Oddly, both on the front wheel and miraculously both while I wasn't riding. I'm still a fairly die-hard schwalbe user as this has really been the only time, but it was pretty scary. The bead actually snapped on them, was nuts. /csb
Small sample size but last time I rode MTB in the alps with mates, the only people who had issues with tyres burping were the Schwalbe tubeless people. That said, it wasn't JRA, it was usually cornering quite quickly.
MTB pressures and directional forces are a different game i reckon. its not really my area of expertise, and I've been running 1.5kg Dirt Wizards on the hardtail for some reason, so can't pass judgement on the schwalbe situation there!
