• Hi all,
I'm after Chorus or Record 11 speed kit to scratch a campagnolo itch again until I accept that I don't like it and move on to SRAM 22 mechanical...

I'd really like one of the silver alloy/black carbon rear mechs they did...

    Cheers in advance,
    Matt

I don't think 11 speed Chorus or Record came in silver.

Are you thinking 10 speed maybe?

10 speed Record came in titanium/carbon, and 10 speed Chorus had a polished/carbon rear derailleur.

  • Yeah they did, harder to find the record version (one on eBay previously linked is damaged and pricey imho)

  • Ah yeah, you're right. Totally forgot about those.

Must be pretty rare indeed, can't even seem to find any pictures online. Maybe I'm typing in the wrong key words. Are they anniversary editions or something?

2010 edition it seems. Nice catalogue:

  • I’m aiming to try a build where all things metal are silver, all things carbon are black… not too fussed though so will see what turns up 👍🏻👍🏻
    Cheers!

  • Potentially a whole new rabbit hole but it seems that 10 speed mechs work fine with 11 speed shifters so that might make this whim a little cheaper to explore (again)

  • Really? Are you sure?

  • Hadn’t heard that before either, but I’ve been wrong in this thread before. 😅

  • I’m as sure as my google searches have proven - to summarise, pull ratios are very similar if not the same, jockey wheels need changing to 11 speed chain width and front mech cages are wider on 10speed so dialling them in is hit and miss depending on frame/mech hanger/limit screws etc…

Having looked on eBay it seems 10speed mechs are not at all cheaper :(

    Ah well…

  • Bump - anyone want an 11 speed di2 group?

  • Stop tempting me. I've been following this thread since you opened it, and have the odd road bike with an 11sp carbon chorus, the rest is 11sp di2. I'll have a think. Whats the gruppo youve got?

  • ha, glad I'm tempting someone! It's a mixed group as I accumulated more parts for the previous build - 6770 shifters, Y cable with junction, external junction box, external battery, 6870 front and rear mechs, cut and soldered cables from a previous build - Sram red 10speed cranks and ee brakes that I'll keep... so more of a 'shift set'...

  • Still, just entertaining the thought, but what cranks are those? GXP, 170mm by chance? BCD?

  • Erm, GXP 130bcd 172.5mm

  • Hi. I have for sale a pair of Campagnolo Super Record Ergo levers, 11 speed, but are carbon. Can also provide a front and rear mech from the same groupset, but again are the more modern carbon ones. If any help, Chorus chainset, sorry, but again carbon. 52/36, 172.5. Super Record brake callipers with new pads fitted.
All of these items are in excellent condition. I am based in Hampshire. If you are interested in any of these items then please contact me for prices. Thanks, Brian

  • Hey Brian - I’m after carbon - I just wanted the silver/black rear mech - I’m interested, will be in touch
    Cheers,
    Matt

  • I have a chorus rd in this style. I'll get some pictures in a bit, as I think it may have a few scratches. There's different pull ratios between pre 2015 11 speed and post 2015 11 speed. Pre will be the silver carbon mix, so just make sure you get the right shifters to match.

  • Here's the pics of the rd. It's had a scrape on the carbon casing on the bottom with damage to the lacquer. Also have a 53/39 172.5 5 arm chainset.
