One of the first artists I really took an interest in. I even did my 3000 word study on him, despite being told that I would get a low grade no matter how good it was because the examiners preferred you to write about more traditional artists. Fuck that, and RIP Claes Oldenburg. 😒

In the 70s the Education Council sent me to a boarding school (unteachable). The headmaster and a housemaster were child molesters. I have just found out that in 2015 the headmaster was found guilty on 13 counts and appeared in the Thames, suitably dead, before sentencing. The enquiry was expanded to the housemaster, who gassed himself in his car when it became public.

It wasn't fun, but I was lucky that despite one attempt I was big and aggressive enough to be unharmed.

It took all of yesterday to absorb what had happened to the perpetrators and am sorry to have burdened this forum with my furious response.

On the plus side, I found an old friend on the Facebook group who now lives 7 miles from me, we're going to get very drunk on Saturday.
