Was the law broken? It stinks to high heaven, but I don’t know if any laws were actually broken.

Other than the expensive chairs and povspec kitchen (I mean there's not even a Miele appliance in sight) is any of it that shocking?

I think you need a license and registration for proper ones that can be used as a weapon.

Wouldn't say shocking, but it's more than a little disappointing that despite the 'Soane' letterhead, Sir John doesn't seem to have been personally consulted.

"Ready for Rishi" sounds like it took all of 12 seconds to come up with, but carried a sizeable fee from a creative agency

The bit I never understand about government expenses is why is it allowed?
That’s obscene!
Why’s it not from ikea? In fact why does he even have a residence, everyone else has to pay for their own home but in government it’s a blank cheque and you’re not paying, we are!!!

Word (LBC) has it that he registered the name of 'Ready for Rishi' on Twitter at the time of the party gate events.
Did he successfully abuse his power? I’d argue he didn’t, that the checks and balances worked, i.e. the Supreme Court ruling his attempts to prorogue Parliament illegal.
But I’d strongly agree that what Peter Hennessy termed “the good chap” theory of government was challenged and very nearly broke. There is definitely a need for stronger constitutional arrangements to ensure this is guarded against in future.
