I am actually pretty content with this
The thread title promised me other things!
Looks great though. How’s that seat post?

It's really difficult to detect whether it actually does anything but the bike certainly does give my butt less of a bashing than my single speed Cannondale that has a shorter carbon post. Could be several other factors though.
If it's helping me have a comfy butt, I'm happy and if it's not, well I think it looks cool anyway -

This is so nice. Personally looks like the perfect bike, and those mudguards. Oof. Best of luck for the ride.

• #338
Yeah I bought it because it was cheaper than Shimano at the time and it's still doing fine after like 8000km

awesome bike

In one ride?! Bike looks dialed.

Oof... just a little bit of BDHU and it’s perfect. What are those mudguards? London - Manchester sounds like a sweet ride, enjoy!

Yeah the drops angle is shit and I do ride in the drops a fair bit but it's just comfier with flat tops. I've actually got some of those outlet USE bars sanded and ready to go on but I can't be bothered undoing the brake hoses to feed through the guides on them so they'll go on in the future, maybe they'll have a better angle.
The guards are these:

though I think the front has been trimmed a little -

I dunno about messing with the angle - you seemed pretty comfy on Oasts and Coasts. Probably not your normal riding though I guess, maybe there's more drop work for you when you're early to shred with the local hitteurs. Otherwise I'd take our ride as an endorsement to not fuck with them

Très chic, I think I’ve seen them on some Fern bikes before. Thanks for the link. IME you still have a flat transition when you push the hoods further upwards but the ramps effectively become shorter. Ritchey neo classic might be a good compromise with longer ramps and flat drops. Anyway, you’re probably right to leave it as it is for now and enjoy riding it rather than chasing some hypothetical ergonomic marginal gains :)

Riding Manchester to London tomorrow
Rail fairs got out of hand?
Bike looks mega

West Coast mainline is fubar with reduced timetable. Probably get there quicker cycling if my day trip up there last week is anything to go by.
Ace bike, really want those mudguards now.

If I ever again need to commute more than 1km, this would be the bike I would like to use.
Display is for the e-motor, right??
Yeah round the block or so...
