Hopefully he won’t be wrapping those bars but will get a replacement.
I'm unsure about whether to replace them or not. It's a lot of scratches, but not v deep. And they are alu.
I'll obviously check for any cracks, but it was a sliding crash for the bars, not an impact.
Paging @gbj_tester for an opinion?

Have replaced the bars.
Having a good look at the ones I took off, there was zero reason.
A bit of paint has been scratched off, with imperceptible depth.
No impact damage, which is totally consistent with the crash profile.
I would 100 percent ride them again, with no qualms.
Luckily I didn't spend £££ on the new bars.
(Having said that, I wouldn't sell them without disclaiming the crash damage)
