Just over 1kg for the set. Very limited mileage - previous owner said they'd focused on hill climbs, and I rode maybe 10km on them, so I think these have less than 1000km in them. That said, there's a bit of play in the rear hub, but it seems that's common with Zipps and it just needs retightening.

    Collection from East London

  • If these were 11spd I'd have had them off you in a heartbeat. GLWS.

  • An Edco Mono Block would can be used to convert them to 11 speed. They are a bit pricy but very light and beatifully made.

  • I'd genuinely never seen those before. You're right about the price, but they're cool as fuck! Let me think about whether I can also justify dropping £160 on a cassette. In the meantime, GLWS.

  • If you have a standard 11s (Shimano/SRAM) cassette that goes up to 25t or greater, for £15 plus return postage I can get the back of the cassette machined down by 2mm so that it'll fit on a 10s HG body (Might need one or two very thin shims to get perfect spacing - also, if you have a standard 11s sprocket spacer you can pop it on the back and make the cassette suitable for use on an 11s hub again).
It's a pretty standard tweak. The need for 25t or greater is just to ensure that with the biggest cassette sprocket backed closer to the spokes, there'll be enough room for the chain to clear the spokes.
I know of at least one other user offering this service on the timetriallingforum.co.uk; I'm London-based, but my machinist is away until 25th.. PM if you need any more info

  • What you saying @returnofthestaff ? I'm willing to accept an offer

  • Sorry for the radio silence @Sootyam, in the middle of trying to find a new house so I've been off the forum. I'll DM you.

  • Now £380. Someone must want these!!?

  • I had the same thing done to some cassettes to fit my old 10sp Zipp 808’s

I had them done by Bomber bike works, they charge £30 for it. To fit back to an 11sp hub you just need a 1.8mm spacer which is quite easy to get hold of.

    GLWS!

  • How easy was posting it there etc? Or are you local to Bristol?

  • Super easy. I just emailed them first and just posted it. Got it back a week later all done. Easy peasy

  • Dibs PM sent.

  • I want these but please give returntostaff, first refusal as reading the thread i can see he's taken a keen interest and i do not want to take them under his nose.

  • Most honourable. I'll give @returnofthestaff this weekend to make a decision. After that they're yours, since I need to declutter the flat sooner rather than later

  • Thanks, @Banana753 but I think I've lined up an easier option. So go ahead! Also, cheers for your patience with my dithering @Sootyam.

  • No worries at all!

  • Still about, dibs and will take em upon inspection 🧐

  • I always thought 10 and 11 freehubs were cross compatible, is this not always the case?

  • With Campagnolo freehubs - yes, with shimano you can put a 10speed cassette on an 11 speed freehub with a spacer but you can’t run an 11 speed cassette on an 10 speed freehub unless you go to some mtb cassettes for reasons I can’t remember…

  • Of course, 11 takes 10 but 10 doesn't take 11, that's what I was misremembering, thank you.
