Surrey, mostly. Got a trip to the Quantocks in a month or so too

Sick
I think that's the suitable expression

the shock rebound is pretty noisy
This is normal, mine is fairly loud. Having it re-valved is well worth it!
Have you changed travel on the smashpot yet? How long did it take?
I want to bump mine up to 180 but find it hard to muster the energy to open up the forks. -

Not long, it's a surprisingly simple bit of kit. It is, however, messy as fuck.

Took it for a very short spin this evening (after a Zwift TTT, so my legs are fucked) and first impressions are that it is a lot of fun. Feels like I'm more "in" the bike, more space to move your body around before you feel like you're too far forwards or hanging off the back. Most surprising, it is incredibly comfortable when climbing. It just feels like you're sat pedaling on the flat, no sitting on the nose of the saddle, no hunching forward over the front wheel.
Can't wait to get it on some proper trails soon -

This is absolutely sick. Looks like a blast!

Actually some cuteness would look good on that beast.
I am pretty sure I had a rock shox rocket sticker in the nineties? -

My new bike is making clicking noise and it’s driving me insane
-
• #24388
It’s definitely the Magura brakes
-
• #24389
It’s a bearing noise I think
-
• #24390
Change the oil in the gearbox
-
• #24391
I assume we're talking about the maddona?
Edit - leave the whole bike in a bath of loctite overnight
-
• #24392
Curse you and your sensible answers!
-
• #24393
Always grease your chips
-
• #24394
Apologies, sorted. I’m out of ideas after loctite.
Maybe jet wash it. Twice. -
• #24395
Sorry, neither of those options requires massive expenditure
A bath of Loctite would be suitably expensive though

I pulled the cranks, checked the chain ring lock ring, PFT, cleaned everything and reinstalled it, still clicks. Checked the pedals, nice and tight, still clicks. Cleaned and tightened the rear axle, still clicks. I did all the suspension pivots up with a torque wrench after applying loctite, so I hope it's not them. But, on a bike this new, which bearings could be clicking?
-
• #24397
I would re-check all bolts. After a first ride on my new enduro bike one of the bushing bolts was loose. I fitted them all myself with a torque wrench.

Tried spraying the pivots with WD40? Even the smallest bit of corrosion will make it creak.

Crank spider? That one has caught me out before. Drowned the interface with loctite and it went away.
Looks banging. Soooo long. Where ya gonna ride a bike like this? (Angling for riding spots)
